Tattnall County is soliciting bids on resurfacing of approximately 11.85 miles on various roads in Tattnall County. The contractor will be given a 14 day notice to proceed. Tattnall County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Contractor must be authorized to use and uses the federal work authorization program commonly known as E-Verify, or any subsequent replacement program, in accordance with the applicable provisions and deadlines established in O.C.G.A. 13-10-91. Contractor must supply their E-Verify number with their bid. Contractor will be given a 14 day notice to proceed. Resurface with 1 1/2" (165# sq. yd.) compacted 9.5mm "F" mix. Apply tack coat between existing surface and topping. Stripe with solid white line on edge and solid/skip double yellow line in the center and a 24" stop bar at the end of each road. "High Build Paint" per GDOT specification "652 - Painting Traffic Stripe" is to be used. Edge lines to be painted within 6 weeks after resurfacing is completed. County forces will build up shoulders when resurfacing is completed. A certification from the striping contractor verifying material and placement specifications will be required. Thermoplastic rumble strips to be added at the end of Bea Durrence Rd., Ebeneezer Church Rd., and Elza District Rd. GDOT Construction Detail T-19 (attached) to be used for spacing of rumble strips, with a design speed of 55mph. Use attached Rumble Strip Detail for details of each rumble strip. The county will place "Low Shoulder" signs. The contractor is responsible for placing advanced warning signs. All work is to be completed by October 31, 2022. All traffic control devices shall meet the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control. All other work shall meet GDOT Specifications. The attached Quality Control Program shall be used to assure that all materials and completed construction required by this contract conform to contract plans, technical specifications and other requirements.
