The City of Waycross is accepting bids from Grinding Contractors for our annual Yard Debris Grinding and Disposal Service. o All bidders must provide their own equipment and operator(s) to feed and operate the grinder as specified, this includes loading equipment, miscellaneous equipment to facilitate grinding at 608 Genoa Street, Waycross, GA 31501. o Use of horizontal grinder with 700 HSP engine or greater; or the use of a tub grinder of comparable size o Grinder must accept material of up to 48" in diameter o Material to include: brush and tree debris, brush and tree products ranging from large limbs to tree trunks, and miscellaneous landscape waste. o Bidder must supply adequate personnel for operations on site. o Bidder is responsible for moving the equipment and/or materials as necessary. o Pile grindings within a location near the grinding site o Grinding shall be done on-site Mon-Friday, 7am - 4pm unless there is a special circumstance. o Bidder shall be responsible for all grinder damage resulting from the grinding of organic waste on site and all normal wear and tear. o Minimum aggregate average output requirements -- Particle size % passing a selected mesh size on a dry unit weight basis: o 3 inches (75mm), 100 % passing o Maximum particle length of 6 inches o The City of Waycross shall provide: o Diesel Fuel for grinding equipment o Bidder shall dispose of all ground debris material, price to be included with bid. o Bidder shall submit a bid for hourly rate to grind and dispose. All pricing must be included in this rate. No hidden charges. o Bidder shall provide all necessary licensing for operation and transport. All other cost or services shall be included with the bid. o The City has averaged 3-4 grinds per year with 2,000 tons of yard debris. The City of Waycross is accepting bids to obtain the best value for the City and may or may not award by low bid. Bids will be opened at the above stated date and time. Annual Grinding Services is for a 1 year period January 1, 2022 -- December 31, 2022. There will be 4 additional yearly options if all parties are in agreement to be renewed annually. Bidder must comply with all Federal, State and Local Laws. Factors to be considered in making this award, if awarded, will be prices, quality, and references. The City will be the sole judge of the weights given these factors.
