Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The major constructions include but are not limited to: Removal and disposal of all the contents of sand filter bay 1 down to the bare concrete, coat the concrete with epoxy coating and construct the new 2-unit disk filter system and controls, addition of valves and piping as shown on the plans, electrical wiring and interface with the existing WWTP controls, site restoration and other items incidental and appurtenant thereto. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms, in the manner designated therein, and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township of Berkeley Heights, County of Union, New Jersey, and must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, providing said check or bid bond need not be more than $20,000.00 nor shall not be less than $500.00, and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. The project contract is funded in part by the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust and the successful bidder must comply with all the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et seq. for the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10-5:31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17-27-1 et seq. This project is being funded by the NJEIB and all requirements pertaining to NJEIB-funded projects shall be followed. The project shall be completed in ninety (90) working days. The SED requires Berkeley Heights to provide a goal ofnot less than 10% be established for the award ofcontracts to small business concerns owned and controlled by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. tates should also, as a best practice, conduct site visits of projects during construction and review documentation demonstrating proof of compliance which the assistance recipient has gathered
