2022 Water and Sewer Repair and Replacement Project Any bids received after the time specified shall be returned unopened. The project generally consists of the following: The repair and replacement of water mains, water service laterals, and sanitary sewer mains and service laterals. Approximately 2,800 linear feet of new sewer main will be constructed on College and Pendegast Streets between Marshall Avenue and McKinley Avenue at inverts approximately five feet deeper than the existing system in order to provide adequate depth of service for residents. Approximately 6,200 linear feet of new water main will also be installed in the same vicinity as well as on 4th Street and Elm Street. The City's estimated cost of the improvements is $5,000,000. The work generally includes repair and replacement of water mains and service laterals as well as sanitary sewer mainline and lateral replacement. Approximately 2,800 linear feet of new 8-inch PVC sewer main and 6,200 linear feet of new 8-inch diameter PVC water main will be constructed in the area of College and Pendegast Streets. Residences served by the new mains will be reconnected along the route. The Project will result in more reliable water pressure and supply for 111 parcels and improved sewer drainage for 44 parcels. Additionally, the project will install 9 new fire hydrants and 9 new sewer manholes. The City's estimated cost of the improvements for base bid only is $4,800,000 to $5,300,000
