High School Chiller Replacement Project. The Work shall be Bid as one Unified Contract. The successful bidder shall, upon acceptance of it's bid, be required to procure and pay for a Contractor's Bond for Construction (Form 86A or AIA Form A312) in an amount equal to its contract price. Such bonds shall comply with all laws of the State of Indiana governing public contracts let by governmental units. Bids should be made on the form included in the Project Manual which is base don the Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96 (Re-vised 2013), an d shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check, cashier's check, or bi d bon d, executed by the bidder an d an acceptable surety company, payable to the order of the School Corporation, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. In the event any bidder withdraws his bi d or fails to execute a satisfactory contract or contracts an d furnish a satisfactory performance bond or bonds within ten (10) days after a contract or contracts has been awarded to such bidder by the School Corporation, said School Corporation may declare his certified check or cashier's check or bid bon d forfeited to said School Corporation as liquidated damages. The School Corporation shall have the right to accept any bid within sixty (60) days after the time of opening of the bids, during which time no bids shall be withdrawn; at any time to reject any an d all bids for any reason at all; an d to waive all formalities or irregularities in the bidding. The deposit will be refunded in full to the prime contract bidder when the Plans an d Specifications have been returned to Repro Graphix within ten (10) days after the time set for receiving bids, in goo d re-usable condition. If Plans and Specifications are returned after this ten (10) day limit, or in an un-usable condition, the deposit shall be forfeited to cover the cost of re-production. All mailing costs shall be paid by the bidder. Tentative Notice to Proceed: February 2022. Anticipated On-Site Construction Start: November 2022 Substantial Completion Date: January 3, 2023 November 2022 - On-site construction and preparatory work can start November 21st. Contractor is responsible for drain-down of existing chiller. New chiller must be installed, tested, balanced and operational by no later than end of the day Tuesday January 3, 2023 unless otherwise directed by the Owner in writing.
