This notice to bidders is issued under Indiana law for maintenance projects anticipated to cost less than $150,000. The term "routine maintenance" means work to correct, repair or maintain the flood works that does not require new construction or engineering design or input. This term also includes debris removal, and vegetation control as well as minor repairs resulting from weather or other damage. Proposals shall include all equipment, materials and labor. PCCD solicits valid and binding proposals for the year 2022 for the following items: The following quotations specify equipment that has proven to be the size safely needed for the variety of work to be routinely completed. All quoted equipment should be the prescribed size or equivalent sized equipment. All equipment is to be quoted with the operator cost included. ITEM Hourly Rate 1) D-6 Bulldozer $________ 2) Excavator with 30-ft boom and a 1 1/2 cubic yard bucket $________ 3) Excavator with 60-ft boom and a 3/8 cubic yard bucket $________ 4) For Channel Cleanout/Spoil Spreading (only) --Excavator with 60-ft boom and a 3/8 cubic yard bucket $________ --D-6 Bulldozer for spoil spreading $________ 5) Supplemental Labor $________ Vegetation of work sites will be paid at an acreage rate, if larger than onehalf acre in size. If less than one-half acre in size, the work will be considered incidental to the paid hourly works. The Contracting Officer will determine how the vegetation work is to be completed for the distrubed areas. Cost/Acre Seeding of channel banks $________ Seeding/Mulching of distrubed areas $________ Riprap material will be paid at a unit price for materials delivered to the site. Equipment and operator used to install the riprap will be paid at the hourly rate for the equipment used as shown above. Cost/Ton Revetment Riprap Materials $________ Note: Any successful bidder is required to attend or send a representative to all PCCD monthly board of directors meetings or as requested by the Board. Such proposals shall include the Bidder's business name, name of contact person, full mailing address, telephone number, fax number, email address, and three (3) references. PCCD reserves the right to waive technicalities and/or to reject any and all quotes. The successful proposal will be deemed incorporated into any subsequent contract between PCCD and the successful bidder in calendar year 2022. The PCCD Board will award the work based on the lowest and best qualified quotation. Consideration will be given to Contractor's knowledge of the District works, landowners, the equipment quoted, and references of work capability. PCCD also may consider awarding to more than one Contractor, if one Contractor does not process all of the necessary equipment outlined.
