The Asbestos Abatement Contract shall include a Base Bid with Additive / Deductive Unit Pricing. Both Moreau Heights and Thorpe Gordon abatement scope will be in conjunction with a summer renovation project General Contractor. Contractor's attention is directed to the requirement that prevailing wages are to be paid on this project. A copy of Prevailing Wage Order No. 28 for Cole County will be provided with the specifications. Payroll records will be required from the Contractor by the School District. Bids shall be submitted on the Proposal Form, a copy of which is provided in the Project Specification Manual. A certified or cashier's check or bid bond, executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all formalities in such bids. Likewise, the Owner reserves the right to select the lowest and best bid which is in the best interest of the Owner. A Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be furnished by the successful bidder
