Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The city manager shall announce the results of the bidding, together with recommendations thereon, to the City Council at its meeting to be held at 6:00 PM local time on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa, at which time and place the City Council will hear objections to the proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract for said S 16 th Street Improvements. The general nature of the work on which bids are requested is: The reconstruction of S 16 th Street and widening at the intersection of S 16 th Street and S Duff Avenue. The reconstruction will include full storm sewer and water main adjustment. Other improvements will include trail reconstruction, sidewalk installation, and traffic signal improvements at the intersections of S Duff Ave/S 16 th Street and S Grand Ave/S 16 th Street. The City of Ames reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after receipt of bids, and no bid may be withdrawn during this period. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City Award Date:Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022
