The City of Minneapolis is issuing this call for bids for prospective suppliers to provide all materials, labor, equipment and incidentals for the cleaning and lining of cast iron water mains, for the Department of Public Works, all in accordance with the provided specifications, event line items and all documents requested herein. Additonal Description: A contractor responding to this solicitation document swears that they are in compliance with the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3, and shall upon request submit to the city a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria. This Contract consists of rehabilitation of the designated water mains by mechanically cleaning and applying a cement mortar lining, in place, and the removal and replacement, as necessary, of water main pipe, valves, fittings and manholes as described in these Special Provisions and General Requirements, in the Plan Sheets and in the Bid Sheet. Additional work necessary to perform the water main work includes but is not limited to; obtaining all necessary permits, installation and maintenance of erosion control, the protection of existing utilities and excavation and installation of shoring. As the piping system is intended for the conveyance of potable water, the proposed product shall be certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61.
