Renovation of a military facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Per TGC 437; The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide emergency generator upgrades to enable permanent backup power to TMD's Westheimer Readiness Center (RC). This project will include a new 200 kW natural gas generator to be installed at Westheimer RC along with: modifications to existing power systems to accommodate addition of the generator including a new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), a branched gas line from existing gas line and regulator to feed the generator, structural work required to install a fenced concrete pad for the generator, and site civil work required for grading and utilities (underground electrical wiring and conduit and natural gas piping). All bidders must be pre-qualified to bid on this project (prime and general contractors only) The deadline to submit completed pre-qualification documents to Freese and Nichols, Inc. is 4:00 PM, Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Once a bidder has been Pre-Qualified, the bid package will be released.
