The City of Hillsboro seeks written proposals from qualified vendors able to provide Progressive Design-Build services for the Ron Tonkin Stadium renovation and expansion project. The Hillsboro Hops, a short season Low-A baseball franchise has called the City's Ron Tonkin Stadium home for the past (8) seasons. Major League Baseball has recently restructured its minor leagues, elevating the Hops to a High-A level franchise, and doubling the number games the Hops play in a season. The project will modernize, complete, and expand home team, visitors' and coaching/umpire staff facilities and make needed upgrades to the onsite infrastructure in order to ensure compliance with recently upgraded Major League Baseball (MLB) facility standards. Additional team/fan spaces and amenities are also being contemplated as part of this project. The City is conducting a competitive MULTI-STEP Request for Proposal (RFP) process to retain one (1) Progressive Design Build (PDB) team and intends to award a single contract as a result of this RFP. The contract term for this Project will be approximately 30 months. This project is a Public Work. Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) Prevailing Wage Rate requirements will apply. The design and construction budget for the Ron Tonkin project is currently estimated to be $40,000,000. The renovation and expansion of Ron Tonkin Field to accommodate Major League Baseball requirements for the Hillsboro Hops. The general scope of the project will consist of the design development and construction of modifications, upgrades and utility/site work needed to meet the new Major League Baseball facility standards. Additional amenities, developed during the design process, may also be designed and constructed as part of this initial phase of the project
