(email to jangelo@garrisonarch.com) The Project consists of Lower Cape May Regional High School 2022 Locker Room Renovations and Corridor Locker Replacement located at 687 Route 9, Cape May, New Jersey 08204. 1. Owner: Lower Cape May Regional School District, 687 Route 9, Cape May, New Jersey 08204. Contract Documents were prepared for the Project by Garrison Architects, 713 Creek Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08031 The Work consists of Locker Room Renovations and Corridor Locker Replacement including but not limited to the following, (see the construction documents for details): Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the site of the Project before submitting costs for the project. Such site visit shall be for the purpose of familiarizing the Contractor with the conditions as they exist and the character of the operations to be carried on under the Contract Documents, including all existing site conditions, access to the site, physical characteristics of the site and surrounding areas. The Contractor shall provide a single full-time onsite Superintendent / Foreman who is present for all work at all times including, but not limited to, subcontractor work. The Superintendent / Foreman is responsible to maintain a daily log of all personnel onsite. During the complete duration of the Work, the Contractor must maintain the continued operation and function of all services and systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm, data, network, information technology, security, audio visual, electrical and HVAC. If a disruption to a system occurs, the Contractor must immediately take all actions necessary to restore the system at the earliest possible time. Any required shutdown of any system needs to be coordinated and scheduled with the Owner. The work consists of renovation of Gym Locker Rooms as indicated on the Contract Documents including but limited to selective demolition, salvage and reuse of existing lockers in the Boys Locker Rooms, new finishes, lighting, plumbing, mechanical system, electrical work and asbestos abatement. Asbestos abatement will be performed under a separate contract issued by the Owner. The Contractor shall coordinate with the asbestos abatement Contractor and provide selective demolition work to provide access to abatement area. Salvaged lockers must be fully prepared, electrostatically painted and renumbered. There is an Alternate Bid to remove and replace the existing corridor lockers. See Contract Documents for further information. Work can begin after school dismissal on June 17, 2022. This work must be substantially complete by August 19, 2022. Dispose of material according to state and local code and Section 01524 - Construction Waste Management. Restore all grades, lawns and pavement to pre-construction condition. Schedule of work sequence: 1. No work On Site can be started until all permits are received. The existing school must be completely operational during the school year. This project must be completed on or before August 19, 2022. 2. All construction preparation work, project startup, submittals, schedules, approvals, procurement, coordination, and other preparatory tasks must commence immediately upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed or the date of the fully executed Owner/Contractor Contract, whichever comes first. The Awarded Contractor must be fully prepared to deliver and install all materials and equipment on the first day of the scheduled on-site Construction period. 3. The on-site Construction period, during which all work on site is to be performed, is to start June 17, 2022. All work must be substantially complete by August 19, 2022.
