Contracts 2 Rebid, consist of materials and Equipment only for construction of Compost Treatment System, Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Phase 6, including, compost trommel screen, aeration blower, reinforcement steel etc. Bids do not require bid security. The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: Town Municipal Building, 138 West Main Street, Marion, VA AGC, 249 Neal Drive, Blountville, TN Valley Construction News, 426 Campbell Ave, Roanoke VA. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The procedure for withdrawal of bid shall be according to the Virginia Public Procurement Act as amended. Any BIDDER must give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his Bid within two business days after the conclusion of the Bid Opening Procedure. If a Bid is withdrawn, the next higher bidder shall be deemed to be the Low Bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn unless said withdrawal is permitted by law. Withdrawal of a BID shall result in forfeiture of the Bidder's BID BOND. If the Bid is in the amount of $10,000 or more, the Bidder and its Subcontractors must comply with the provisions of Executive Orders 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with the provisions of Executive Orders 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firms and provide documentation of "good faith efforts" upon request by Owner. MBE and WBE firms are encouraged to bid. Bidders must comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. The OWNER reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all BIDS if it appears in the OWNER'S best interest to do so.
