The Division Well No. 9 Drilling Project includes the drilling and construction of a new municipal-supply water well targeted to produce 200-300 gallons per minute (gpm). The well shall be constructed in such a manner as to produce from selected water-bearing zones encountered below a depth of approximately 120 feet below ground surface (bgs). The pilot hole will be drilled to a depth of approximately 450 feet bgs for geologic logging and downhole geophysical surveying purposes. The final well casing depth shall be determined after completion of the downhole geophysical surveys. All contractors and subcontracts that wish to bid on, be listed on the bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to sections 7000 et seq. of the Business and Professions Code Class A - General Engineering Contractor or Class C34 - Pipeline Contractor California's license. Each bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the DWP. The amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to the City of Big Bear Lake DWP. The successful Bidder will be required to also furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. DWP shall award the contract for the project to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as determined by the DWP from the base bid plus alternatives. The DWP reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
