Major items of work include the following: The project consists of removal and replacement of the curb, gutter, and concrete driveway, Hot Mix Asphalt Paving (HMAC) and Prime Coat, Limestone Flexible Base, and Geogrid in accordance with the contract documents, technical specifications, and plans. We reserve the right to process checks electronically by transmitting the amount of the check, routing number, account number, and check serial number to your financial institution. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those c o n t r a c t s t h a t e x c e e d $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the County of Refugio or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project.
