Renovation of a conference / convention center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.
The Project consists generally of the following major items: The City of Raleigh is seeking proposals from a General Contractor to refurbish the corroded components in The Raleigh Convention Center's cooling towers. City Staff is concerned by the amount of corrosion found on the fan shrouds during a recent inspection. The mechanical drive systems are in good running condition and are being maintained locally Four (4) Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) Model 3728A-OM were installed as new equipment in 2008. The City desires to contract with General Contractor with substantial experience installing, replacing or rebuilding BAC Towers. This project will use BAC Factory Authorized Parts only. Technical Data, Engineering specifications, can be found in the BAC Series 3000 BAC Parts and Maintenance Guide. The Parts and Maintenance guide is publicly available online, free of charge Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid for Option A of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Furthermore, the City's goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000, or with contracts that include $100,000 or more in state funding. Owner accepts Bidder's Bid and Bidder delivers within the time required by the Bidding Documents (or any extension thereof agreed to in writing by Owner) the executed Agreement required by the Bidding Documents and any performance and payment bonds required by the Bidding Documents
