This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary for pavement patching, slab stabilization, asphalt milling and resurfacing the left lanes' wearing course, asphalt milling and resurfacing of the right lanes' binder and wearing courses. Project also includes the installation of the Sonic Nap Alert Patterns, Permanent Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Markings and the Maintenance and Protection of Turnpike traffic. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project.
