Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is issued by the State of Colorado, Department of Natural Resources, on behalf of the Division of Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW). All contact regarding this solicitation is to be directed to: Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Purchasing Office 1313 Sherman Street. Room 423. Denver, CO 80203 Tess Arbogast (303) 866-3292 x 8623 Email: Tess.Arbogast@state.co.us Inquiry deadline for written questions 2.8.2022 2 PM Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) will conduct a large-scale cheatgrass control and avian research project on Tamarack State Wildlife Area located near the town of Crook in Logan County, Colorado. The project seeks to aerial treat 3,000 acres of grassland habitat infested with cheatgrass. The Department may award to a single or multiple vendors capable of fulfilling the Agency's project needs. The Department reserves the right to add additional goods/services that would be seen as a natural extension of this procurement over the term of this award. The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease acreage based upon a set aside budget. CPW has an interest in managing habitat on Tamarack SWA to support populations of northern bobwhite, greater prairie-chicken, wild turkey, mourning dove, deer, and a wide variety of grassland nesting non-game birds. Invasive annual grasses including downy brome and Japanese brome (aka cheatgrass) negatively impact production of desirable native grasses, forbs, and shrubs to the detriment of habitat of the above species. The chosen herbicide has been shown to be highly selective and effective on cheatgrass with benefits extending 4-5 years from treatment. Cheatgrass seed is exhausted in the seedbank after about 4-5 years so this project seeks to eliminate cheatgrass from the seedbank and allow existing native grasses, forbs and shrubs to thrive and fill in the niche currently occupied by these invasive annual grasses. This project has been awarded to Frontier Helicopters. 190,101
