As of 2/21/2022 project was already awarded for $1,314,842.55. Project scope shall include installation of approximately 2,000 LF of 8"-12" PVC waterline, 1,430 LF 8"-10" PVC sanitary sewer, 995 LF of 24"-48" RCP storm sewer and 6,300 SY of 6" concrete paving. It is the responsibility of the Contractor bidding the project to ensure the accuracy of the reproduction of all Bid Documents and Construction Drawings. This includes, but is not limited to, proper scaling, paper width and length, etc. Failure to do so may result in errors in the Unit Bid Quantities and/or Bid Amounts. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid (the "Bid Security"), as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. Bid Securities will be returned to all but the three most qualified, responsible bidders within three (3) days after opening of Bids, and the latter's Bid Securities will be returned after complete execution of the Contract. The surety ompany providing a bid bond must conform to the same requirements for surety companies providing the performance bonds, maintenance bonds and/or payment bonds described below. 7. BONDS. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price, in a form approved by Owner and a Maintenance Bond, in a form acceptable to the City of Manvel and the District, for 100% of the Contract Price as follows: For the public improvements that will be owned and maintained by the City of Manvel, the Maintenance Bond will begin to run at the time the City of Manvel accepts the Project. The undersigned proposes, if awarded the contract, to begin work within five (5) calendar days from written notice to commence work is given by the Engineer, and to have Final Completion of the work within one hundred (100) calendar days from the date of the written notice to commence work. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price, in a form approved by Owner and a Maintenance Bond, in a form acceptable to the City of Manvel and the District, for 100% of the Contract Price
