Site work for a water / sewer project in Chesterton, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project generally consists of the extension of water main on Indian Boundary Road, from Sand Creek Drive to the Brummitt Elementary School site for the purposes of providing municipal water supply from Indiana American Water Company to the school. Construction scope will include the main extension, associated isolation valves, hydrants, stream crossing, and providing domestic and future fire protection services to the Brummitt School, located at the Southwest corner of Indian Boundary Road and Brummitt Road in Porter County, IN. Anticipated Start of Construction: April 1, 2022 or Earlier Anticipated Substantial Completion date: August 15, 2022 BIDS-All bids shall be addressed to Duneland School Corporation, c/o Mr. Greg Lindy, Director of Support Services, 601 West Morgan Ave., Chesterton, IN 46304 and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope: ATTENTION: Bid for Brummitt School Water Main Extension. Bids shall be sealed and shall have the name and address of the bidder and the contract for which the bid is being submitted on the outside of the envelope. All bidders shall bid in accordance with and upon the Bid Forms included in the contract documents. EXAMINATION OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS-The contract documents are on file for inspection at the office of McMahon Associates, Inc., 952 S. State Road 2, Valparaiso, IN 46385. BID SECURITY-No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond payable to Duneland School Corporation in the amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the contract, performance/payment bonds and insurance certification, as required by the contract documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award. BID REJECTION-The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the bid or bids which best serves the interests of the Duneland School Corporation. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS-No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60-days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the OWNER. GOVERNING LAWS & REGULATIONS-The contract letting shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. All bidders must comply with all Board of School Trustees local policies as outlined in the bidding documents.
