The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary to sandblast and paint a total of ten (10) rigid frames in maintenance garage bay to be sandblasted and painted up to 10' on steel girders. 9 out of 10 existing rigid frame column supports to be structural reinforced/repaired per plans and specifications included within this solicitation. The project consists of structural steel repairs to the existing rigid frame column support members and repainting. The project period is to begin on or before March 25, 2022 with substantial completion on or before June 15, 2022 or as determined by the Project Manager. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the electronically through the cut off period for question submissions. The Iowa DOT is exempt from sales tax.
