This project includes all labor, equipment, tools and materials for the HVAC upgrades to the existing East Gym at Lakeview Community Schools Jr./SR. High School The scope of the project will include the following: - Complete HVAC renovation of the existing East Gym - Demolition of existing Unit Heaters, Gas Piping and Thermostats - Structural reinforcement of the existing roof structure for new RTU's - Addition of new Roof Top Units in the East Gym - New ductwork - Gas Piping - Electrical Connections - Controls All bids shall be valid for acceptance by B-D Construction, Inc. for a period of Sixty (60) calendar days after submission of the Bids. Request for interpretations, clarifications, corrections, or changes of the Bidding Documents must be made in writing at least seven (7) calendar days prior to date for receipt of bids. Sample Sub-Contracts and Material Supply Contracts are available as part of the bidding documents. All sub-contractors will be required to comply with these requirements prior to starting work on site. Project is tax exempt This project is subject to the federal Davis Bacon Act. 11. DAVIS-BACON ACT. The parties shall comply with 40 U.S.C. 3141-3148, the Davis-Bacon Act, as supplemented by Department of Labor Regulations 29 C.F.R. 5. This Act provides that contractors and their subcontractors are to pay workers (laborers and mechanics) employed directly upon the site of the work no less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits paid on projects of a similar character as determined by the Secretary of Labor. In addition, contractors must be required to pay wages not less than once a week. The applicable wage determination is attached and incorporated by this reference.
