Renovation of an educational facility in Brandon, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Work of the Contract comprises the Project, for the Earl Oxford School Boiler Replacement. Project Work includes provision of all required labor & materials for a fully operational heating, cooling and ventilation system. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Demolition, and removal of existing boilers, steam and condensate piping systems, controls, coils, radiators, asbestos material and electrical components as indicated in the tender documents. Provide new condensing boilers, pumps, hydronic piping system, sheet metal work, controls and associated architectural, mechanical and electrical systems as shown in the drawings and noted in the specifications. Structural work related to the work above. Provide the required bonds and liability insurance to ensure such specified assurances to the Owner. Coordination with equipment supplier(s) to schedule delivery, unloading and safe storage of equipment. Layout of the work for construction of complete system and associated works as noted in drawings and specifications. Protect existing foundations, superstructure, interior finishes, plant and equipment during construction. Clean-up of project and site upon completion. Repair all defects identified during the first year after completion of Work. Division of the Work among subcontractors, suppliers or vendors is solely the Contractor's responsibility. Neither the Owner nor Consultant assumes any responsibility to act as an arbiter to establish subcontract terms between sectors or disciplines of work. Bidders will be notified on January 21st via email of their timeslot and date for the briefing. When pre-registering, provide the name of the individual attending the site visit along with their email address and telephone contact info. Please also indicate area of responsibility (ie: General contractor, Mechanical Contractor, Electrical, etc.). Registrants will be grouped into a group of 5 and be assigned to a one hour time slot on a first come first serve basis. Registrants will not be permitted to choose the hour in which they would like to attend. Time slots will range from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Physical distancing will be strictly enforced. A mask must be worn at all times during the site visit. Do not attend the site visit if you experience symptoms or feel ill. Participants will be asked a standard set of COVID screening questions and will not be able to participate if they do not pass screening. If you are unsure, please complete the online self assessment at https://sharedhealthmb.ca/covid19/screening-tool/ Attendance sheets will be pre-filled based on pre-registration. Attendance will be checked off by the consultant at the start of the site visit. Participants will be asked a standard set of COVID screening questions. Based on responses received a participant may be prevented from continued presence on site. Due to the limitation of the number of people at each gathering it is preferable to only have one individual trade representative attend the site. If a bidder attends the site visit without pre-registering, they will only be accepted if there are less than 5 people present. Otherwise, you will be asked to attend at a later time. Representatives of the Owner and Consultant will be in attendance. Information relevant to the Bid Documents will be recorded in an Addendum and issued to known bidders. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com or the Winnipeg Construction Association, and the Construction Association of Rural Manitoba
