Site work and paving for a road / highway in Rushville, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting all streets and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents and Specifications. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation with respect to its Bid. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms included in the Specifications. The bid documents shall include all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (Revised 2013) included with the Specifications. Under Section III of Form 96, the Bidder shall submit a financial statement. A copy ofthe financial statement to be submitted with the bid is included in the bid documents section of thesespecifications. The Owner may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work and the Bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. Any questions prior to bid opening shall be directed, in writing, via email to Larry Lawlor at llawlor@fveng.com. Dover Drive - Work on 0.173 miles (+- 920 ft) of Dover Drive from US 52 to Dead End is to generally consist of; Edge grass, Mill 1.0 inches with tie-in joints from edge of pavement of US 52 to the end of the Dead End, sweep clean, patch asphalt base as needed with 4 inches of HMA Patching Type B, tack coat, pave with 1.5 inches of Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Type B, replace all existing pavement markings, adjust existing castings to grade, maintain traffic with appropriate MUTCD devices, and provide all necessary miscellaneous items to complete the work. Contractor shall ensure smooth transitions at all existing alleys and driveways. Special consideration given on this street since milling depth is less than new asphalt surface depth. Contractor is responsible to take all appropriate measures to ensure that all existing alley and driveway pavement transitions are maintained during and improved after construction. Notes: HMA Patching, Type B shall only be placed after the Contractor has identified locations where patching is required based on the Contractor's experience and upon written approval of the Owner within 48 hours of the Contractor's notification
