The restrictions on closing the south chamber are that the contractor may work up to 12 hours during daylight hours only. The contractor must not close the chamber more than 5 consecutive days. IF the lower gage of the Ohio River at McAlpine is above 27 feet, the contractor will have no restriction on consecutive days for closure on the south chamber. General Work Requirements: All work on the damaged bridge section must stop when river traffic is passing underneath. Contractor can submit a plan to protect passing traffic underneath, but the plan will have to be approved by USACE.
