The Place de Portage III facility was built in the 1970s and will be rehabilitated into a modern complex to update and modernize the base building services. It consists of nine (9) towers varying from 3 to 18 floors, which includes a connecting 3-storey bridge over Maisonneuve Boulevard. The anticipated scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: the removal of existing curtain wall assemblies, the supply and installation of a new curtain wall assembly including aluminum framing, glazing and spandrel panels. During construction of this project, there will be several other projects on-going. Work of this project must be coordinated accordingly between these concurrent projects, while maintaining the required separation of time and space so that the responsibilities associated with “Constructor” remain with the Construction Manager. Based on the available design information, the preliminary estimated costs for the various tender packages are: • WP1-008 Curtain wall Demolition ($5,000,000CDN) • WP4a-001 Curtain wall (Towers B1, B3, C1, C2 and D) ($40,000,000CDN) • WP4b-001 Curtain wall (Towers A1, A2, B2, and E) ($35,000,000CDN)
