The Rockaway Township Water Department is seeking quotes for consultation/development of Hydraulic Modeling and GIS Mapping capabilities to be used for compliance purposes and future project development. The goal of this project is to implement GIS Mapping capabilities to comply with State and Federal Rules and Regulations for Water Quality. GIS mapping will also give the Water department oversight capabilities of the entire system to know exactly where assets, piping, valving, etc. are out in distribution. Included in the GIS package will also be the capability to map Water, Sewer, and Stormwater out in the distribution system. The hydraulic modeling aspect will be used for simulation purposes to predict if future development of the system is possible or if distribution system maintenance projects are able to withstand certain scenarios. This will also give the Water Department a better understanding of how the system operates. In addition, this will help with development/compliance with Total Coliform Sampling Plans, DBP Sampling Plans, Lead and Copper Compliance, etc. Rockaway Township currently services about 15,000 customers daily and will need these applications in order to optimize water quality and ensure greater efficiency with their operations. The selected consultant will work closely with Water Department Staff to ensure that each application is updated to the most current design of the system. Upon selection by the township, the work for this application shall be completed within 6 months.
