It is the purpose of this contract to provide all labor, materials, equipment and traffic control necessary to extend the existing water main on Center Road (S.R. 303) in Liverpool Township. This project includes all measures necessary to: -Install 1,786 LF of 8" PVC C-909 water main on Center Road (S.R. 303). -Install 92 LF of 8" PVC C-900 restrained water main on Center Road (S.R. 303). -Install (1) 11.25 bend on the proposed water main. -Install (1) 8" x 6" reducer on the proposed water main. -Install (3) fire hydrants and (2) line valves on the proposed water main. -Existing service connection at 7661 Center Road is to remain in service until water main is complete. -Abandon existing service connection and reconnect 58 LF of service connection at 7661 Center Road from existing shutoff valve to proposed water main. -Contract Completion is on June 30, 2022. Remove existing 8" water main and plug. Install 8" water main from existing valve at sta. 22+32 / 25.4'R to the proposed 8" x 6" reducer at sta. 3+54 / 33.9'R. Install the proposed 11.25-degree bend at sta. 4+06 / 22.9' R and the end hydrant at sta. 3+51 / 33.9' R. The other (2) hydrants will be installed at sta. 9+59 / 26.3'R and sta. 17+59 / 26.3' R (See Plan Sheets 3,4 and 5). All hydrants to be set at grade. Any cost associated with holding of existing utility poles is to be included in the price bid per linear foot for the 8" waterline. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, payable to the owner in an approved form. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Attention is called to the prevailing rates of wages to be paid for labor on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio, ascertained by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor & Worker Safety. We are advised that materials to be incorporated in this work may be purchased by the CONTRACTOR free of Ohio State Sales Tax. CONTRACTORS bidding on this project should be thoroughly familiar with the specifications and practices of this department. The Board of County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or to increase, decrease or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and best bidder. The estimated construction costs for this project is: $ 300,000.00
