Questions regarding this project may be directed to by contacting James Briggs, Park Planner II, at (405)366-5480. The City of Norman reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids proposals. The contractor shall be given such access to the site as necessary to complete the project. Contractor shall protect existing features to stay during construction, and will be responsible for repairing or replacing any damage caused by construction. Contractor shall repair or replace any damage at his sole expense. This park is located in a residential neighborhood. There are a variety of different structures in the park which are used daily by the public and will not be closed for use during construction; therefore, caution to protect the public users of the park shall be of high importance. Also, the area of the park where the work is to be done is adjacent to residential housing; so the time allowed for work will follow the normal park hours of dawn until dusk, in order to minimize disturbing the neighborhood. The total base bid for the restroom and gazebo renovation is described on the bid form; however, we are also seeking an add-alternate on the bid form for replacing several sections of damaged sidewalk in the park (item 11 below). Alternate will only be accepted as available funding permits. It is the intention of the City of Norman to provide a complete project, as shown in the attached drawings. The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, incidentals, methods, equipment (including rentals) and labor necessary to furnish a complete project ready for use. Appurtenance and/or accessories not herein mentioned but necessary to furnish a complete facility, ready for use upon delivery shall be included in all bids. The contractor shall make a field inspection of the project site and determine the methods and costs necessary to properly construct the project. All work shall receive inspection and approval consistent with similar construction in Norman; and all costs associated with inspections should, thus, be accounted for in all proposals. All materials used for this project shall be new, unused and free of defects and imperfections; delivered to the job site in their original container (when applicable) with seals/packing in place and unbroken. All work and materials used shall meet current ASTM, CPSC, ADAAG guidelines, and be constructed by the successful contractor in a manner that will assure any and all manufactures' full warranties on all parts and labor are in effect, postinstallation.
