The City of Southlake is seeking a vendor(s) to provide various trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses and other landscape plants and tree planting services per the following specifications. The City reserves the right to pick up the various trees and other landscape plants and provide planting services themselves. Proposers shall provide pricing for either option, as requested, within the Schedule of Pricing. Not all items will require vendor planting services. Trees shall be container grown or balled and burlapped. Diameter of trees and container sizes requested shall vary. All trees shall be unconditionally guaranteed for a minimum of one year from date of vendor planting when planted by vendor. All trees and all plants shall be unconditionally guaranteed for a minimum of six (6) months, from date of purchase, if planted by City Staff. Any tree or plant failing to meet this minimum warranty period shall be replaced at vendor cost. This includes removal and planting services if originally planted by vendor. Vendor planting services shall be coordinated through City contact. Trees shall be planted at different locations within Southlake City limits. Industry standards for tree planting shall be followed. This shall include at a minimum, but not be limited to: o Root ball depth as required for variety of tree or plant planted by vendor o Mulch ring installed o Balled and burlapped trees shall have the burlap slit and rope removed o Trees shall be staked as required or requested by City o Trees with steel basket or net shall have steel or netting removed completely. o Surrounding area shall be returned to prior condition Vendor shall be responsible for any damage caused to surrounding area when performing planting services and shall return damaged area to prior condition. Vendor delivery services for non-vendor planted items, including, but not limited to, trees, annuals, grasses, ground covers, perennials, and shrubs shall include all delivery costs and include unloading of truck or delivery vehicle of all plants material at City location. Normal delivery location shall be City of Southlake Parks Department, 200 Unity Way Southlake, Texas 76092.
