Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Syracuse, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The North Davis Sewer District (NDSD) Pump Station Project is the second part of a larger project involving the relocation of the sewer treatment plan's effluent discharge from Farmington Bay to Gilbert Bay. Part one consists of a 6.25-mile long, 63-inch diameter HDPE pipeline currently under construction. Part two of the project is the design and construction of the pump station. This solicitation is a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) for general contractors to construct the Pump Station Project. For full details on this project, see attached DE22-32 NDSD Pump Station General Contractors - Statement of Work. Question and Answers (Q&A) will be received via U3P/SciQuest in the Q&A Board until 10:00 AM on Friday, February 25, 2022. The Pump Station Project (Project) includes the construction of the pump station, connection of the pump station to the HDPE pipeline currently under construction, connection of the pump station to the existing chlorine contact basins (via approximately 200 feet of 60-inch diameter RCP pipe), demolition of the existing drying beds (~170,000 square feet) and subsequent grading, and the replacement of the irrigation return/storm drain/final effluent ditch with large diameter pipeline (approximately 750 feet of up to 60-inch diameter RCP). The pump station will consist of three Vertical Turbine Pumps provided by the Owner that will be installed in a wet well application with four bays. The fourth bay will be set up as a future bay. The pump station will allow for gravity flow during low flow conditions (up to 27 MGD) and the pumps will be utilized during high flow situations (27 MGD to 34 MGD). The pump room (maintained in a non-freezing environment) along with the electrical room (conditioned space) will be enclosed. The wet well will also contain an overflow weir that will direct flow to Farmington Bay under certain conditions (>34 MGD). To facilitate gravity flow, pumped flow, and the overflow, a network of large diameter piping with associated control valves will be installed. To achieve the pressure head required to achieve the high flow conditions, the pumps will pump the effluent through a steel pipe manifold into a built-in raised standpipe that will discharge into a common well feeding the 63-inch gravity pipe isolated by a slide gate. During times of low flow, the slide gate will be open allowing for gravity flow bypassing the pumps
