WORK TO BE SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE: AUGUST 26 2022 1. Remove and replace lintels, scrape, sand and paint all lintels to remain as noted on
the drawings.
2. Reconstruct existing masonry, replace brick, repoint existing masonry.
3. Waterproof all exterior masonry surfaces of the particular building area awarded.
Remove all excess mortar debris at project completion.
4. Rake out and recaulk all masonry openings (i.e., doors, windows, univent openings,
etc.), as noted on the drawings.
5. Provide and erect all scaffolding, bridging, safety lines and equipment as may be
necessary to perform the work of this contract. All school building entrances shall
receive protective bridging. All scaffolding, bridging, etc., shall comply with all OSHA
standards in force at the time of the performance of the work.
6. Successful contractors shall follow Preservation Brief 1- Assessing Cleaning and
Water repellent Treatment for Historic Masonry Buildings and Preservation. Brief 2-
Repointing Mortar Joints in Historical Masonry Building in all buildings exceeding 50
years old. These documents have been issued by the National Park Service US
