Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,662-square-foot educational facility.
The scope includes a complete renovation of existing Animal Housing Rooms S1286-S1291, including demolition, new partitions, flooring, ceiling, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, fire protection, fire alarm, security, lab casework, data network cabling, and equipment including University provided sterilizer and ducted biosafety cabinet. This is a Public Works project. All subcontractors must be DIR registered and are responsible for certified payroll reporting. Subcontractors are responsible for their own parking expenses. Subcontractors will be required to abide by UCSF COVID Protocols. Waiver of Subrogation will be required for workers compensation. Additional insured endorsement will be required for General Liability naming MCC and UCSF as additional insured. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete. The scope of work may include but may not be limited to the following: Selective demolitions within MSB S1286-1291 including walls, ceilings, lighting, electrical and mechanical systems etc. New construction to include installation of new partitions, doors and hardware, ceilings, finishes, Stainless Steel cabinetry, and modifications to existing Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems including Fire Alarm and sprinkler systems to provide a new Gnotobiotics core facility. The scope of work consists of modifying an existing animal housing space for Gnotobiotics research. Addition of a new sterilizer and equipment to support the Gnotobiotic research. Scope includes, but is not limited to, selective demolitions, installation of new ceiling and walls, new finishes, and modifications to existing plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Also includes seismic bracing of equipment Addendum #1 has been issued as of January 26, 2022.
