Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,662-square-foot educational facility.

The scope includes a complete renovation of existing Animal Housing Rooms S1286-S1291, including demolition, new partitions, flooring, ceiling, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, fire protection, fire alarm, security, lab casework, data network cabling, and equipment including University provided sterilizer and ducted biosafety cabinet. This is a Public Works project. All subcontractors must be DIR registered and are responsible for certified payroll reporting. Subcontractors are responsible for their own parking expenses. Subcontractors will be required to abide by UCSF COVID Protocols. Waiver of Subrogation will be required for workers compensation. The scope of work consists of modifying an existing animal housing space for Gnotobiotics research. Addition of a new sterilizer and equipment to support the Gnotobiotic research. Scope includes, but is not limited to, selective demolitions, installation of new ceiling and walls, new finishes, and modifications to existing plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Also includes seismic bracing of equipment Addendum #1 has been issued as of January 26, 2022.
