**As of March 8, 2022, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $214,688.67** The Project consists of roadway improvements to various streets in Rahway as delineated on the Construction Plans. More specifically, work shall include HMA milling and paving, full depth pavement repair, sidewalk improvements, reconstruction of curbs and driveway aprons, selective tree removal and tree planting, striping and signage upgrades, site restoration and other improvements described within the Bid Documents. All work on this contract must be completed within forty-five (45) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall comply with the Davis-Bacon Act. The Contractor and all sub-contractors shall hold valid Public Works Contractor Registrations for the duration of the project. Contract documents and drawings for the proposed work (the "Contract Documents", which have been prepared by Jacqueline Dirmann, P.E., of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design Inc. (DBA Maser Consulting), are available electronically or via delivery by common carrier by making a request to mary.tappen@colliersengineering.com and jacqueline.dirmann@colliersengineering.com and will be on file on the date below in the City of Rahway, City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, Rahway, NJ 07065. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail addresses. The bid proposal packages will not be available for pickup. Three sets of documents, one original and two CERTIFIED copies, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the City of Rahway and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "City of Rahway" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required.
