Site work for a swimming pool in West New York, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a swimming pool.

Provide soil erosion and sediment control measures as required during construction to prevent contamination of surrounding areas. Remove and dispose of the existing 6 feet high chain link fence and support posts along the northwestern and southwestern ends of the pool deck as shown on the pool layout plans in Appendix A. Contractor shall note that in addition, there shall be additional segment of fence to be replaced that was damaged by previous storm. Chain link fence removal is identified with two separate items in the Bid Form for Town accounting purposes. Remove and replace the rubber deck surface around the lower wading pool. This installation covers a 4 feet wide area around the perimeter of the pool of approximately 700 square feet. Refer to the location plan in Appendix A. The deck surfacing system shall be Water Flecks by WM Polymers or approved equal. Remove and replace the two pool drains in the bottom of the wading pool. Repair the floor crack located outside of the pump room wall using SikaTop 123 Plus or approved equal, per Type 1 concrete crack repair shown on contract documents. Repair spalled concrete ramp areas with SikaTop 123 Plus along the walkway to the pump room Repair the cracked and spalled concrete at the stairs between the upper and lower pools. Remove and replace the leaking mechanical pipe joint located at the opening in the wall of the pump room. All questions pertaining to the Bid shall be provided to the Engineer in writing by January 24, 2022. The Town of West New York reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Town of West New York in accordance with applicable law. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Remington and Vernick Engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon (name of project) and the word "Public Bid". Said bids shall be addressed to Adelinny Plaza, Town Clerk, West New York Town Hall, 428 60th Street, West New York, New Jersey. If Bids are to be accepted by mail or courier, the Bids must be placed in an outer envelope, which on the top right-hand side shall clearly designate in the same manner as set forth above, the same information. The inner envelope shall have specifically placed in the center the same information as set forth above and on the bottom left-hand side the name and address of the Bidder. All bid proposals will be date and time stamped upon receipt. Bidder is solely responsible for the timely delivery of the bid proposal and no bids shall be considered which are presented after the public call for receiving bids. Any Bid Proposal received after the date and time specified will be returned, unopened, to the bidder. The burden is upon the Bidder to comply specifically with the directions in the "Notice to Bidders". The Bidders are put on notice that because of precautions resulting from terrorist's threats, packages may be opened if directed to the wrong office of the Town. Any Bid not delivered in the manner as set forth in this "Notice to Bidders" shall be declared void. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Town of West New York in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Town of West New York in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.(New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. Completion- Seventy Five (75) Calendar Days
