Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Bid Proposal Documents, including the Bid Form, shall be enclosed in envelopes (outer and inner), both of which shall be sealed and clearly labeled with words New Mt. Vernon Police Station "0201863,00", name of Bidder, and date and time of Bid Opening. Faxed bid proposals will not be accepted. The City of Mt. Vernon, Mt. Vernon Police Station, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bidding process. Submit offer on the Bid Form provided. Offer is to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. It is the statutory policy of the State of Illinois that contractors and subcontractors shall pay prevailing wages pursuant to the Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) Bidders may be requested to submit a confidential financial statement and/or qualifications statement for review by the Owner and Architect, and attend an interview with the Owner, Architect, Construction Manager prior to contract award. Interviews shall be attended by Bidder and requested prime Subbidders, upon schedule notification by the Architect.
