AME Project No: 18103 The work is to be accomplished at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, North Carolina. This base is accessible by public highway. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: Estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The work covered by this specification consists of all labor, equipment and material, and performing all work in connection with Repair Dorm Building 3607 on Seymour Johnson AFB NC in strict accordance with specifications and drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of this contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The total contract performance period shall be six hundred (600) calendar days consisting of two (2) separate Notice to Proceeds. One hundred twenty (120) calendar days following the first Notice to Proceed will be allowed for submittal approval, equipment ordering and delivery only. No on-site work shall be permitted by the Contractor during the initial 120 calendar day period. After completion of the submittal period and all pre-construction submittals are approved, the performance period for on-site construction shall be 480 calendar days. These changes to the Performance Period are addressed in Attachment 7. CONSTRUCTION PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The period of performance for construction on this project shall be four hundred eighty (480) calendar days following issuance of the second Notice to Proceed. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: Estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NOTICE TO PROCEED: Other than submittal of payment and performance bonds, the Contractor shall not proceed with performance of this project until the Contractor receives a Notice to Proceed from the Contracting Officer. Notice to Proceed will be issued within sixty (60) calendar days of award and work will begin within ten (10) calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for this project. Bonds are due no later than 10 calendar days after award. INSURANCE: Certificate of Compliance with the insurance requirements for the state of North Carolina will be required to be completed by the awardee within 15 calendar days of award in accordance with Attachment 01, Special Contract Requirements of the basic contract. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: In accordance with FAR Clause 52.211-12, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government at the Minimum amount of $1,841.74 for the first day and $1,691.74 for all other days in between for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
