This project includes the ADA improvements at 601 Clifton Avenue in Darby Township, such as a new concrete ramp, railing, handicap parking stall and associated pavement markings Darby Township. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay PennBid Program a fee of 1/3% of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to Darby Township, must accompany each bid. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the PA Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, Public Works Employment Verification, various equal opportunity provisions, the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, in the best interest of the Township. Completion- 60 calendar days Work Included: The intent of the project is to provide ADA improvements at 601 Clifton Avenue in Darby Township. Related Work: All areas disturbed during construction shall be restored to its original condition or better. The Contractor shall be responsible to replace any curb, sidewalk, signage, parking meter, etc. per the lump sum restoration item. No additional monies will be given to the Contractor to restore the site. All pavement restoration areas shall be neat, straight, joint lines. Narrow asphalt strips between curb and trench (2 feet or less) will not be acceptable.
