Renovation of a municipal facility in Cumberland, Maryland. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of February 16, 2022, the bids received are over the budget. The construction of a 32'-0" x 56'-0" x 16'-0" three bay pole building at the Municipal Service Center. The free standing structure shall be constructed of a lumber frame, pre-engineered wood trusses and metal siding. The clear height of the structure shall be 16'-0". The roof of the structure shall be a metal standing seam and be furnished with gutters, downspouts and snow guards. An insulated garage door shall be installed at the entrance to each of the three bays. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the accepted bid will be required of the successful bidder. A Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City. The City of Cumberland is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
