The owner has selected a Design Builder. The City of Sausalito ("City) is soliciting for a licensed traffic engineer and licensed civil engineer to develop a design for the replacement of the signal system at Bridgeways intersections with Spring Street and Easterby Street. The design shall include but shall not be limited to the installation of a new signal pole system, the extension of the left turn pocket to Marinship Way, and may include curb ramp installation and other civil work associated with the installation of up to date equipment at this intersection. The City invites qualified firms ("Proposers") to submit proposals for the preparation of the report and mapping, which may lead to award of a professional services agreement ("Agreement"), using the form attached as Attachment 6, Professional Services Agreement. If the City decides to award the Agreement to a Proposer, it will be an hourly rate agreement with a not to exceed amount. The scope of services for the Agreement shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. Reveiw current documents of the existing system and meet with City staff and the City's electrical consultant regarding the existing signal system located at the project location. 2. Develop a 30% planset for City staff review which details the replacement of the existing signal system at Bridgeway's intersections with both Spring Street and Easterby Street. The planset shall incorporate but is not limited to the following a. New signal poles, push buttons, which are complint with current standards. b. Extension of the southbound left turn pocket from Bridgeway to Marinship Way. c. New controller system with video detection. d. Interconnection between the two signals e. Preliminary estimate of improvements f. Pedestrian and other civil improvements necessary to install an updated signal at these locations. 3. Following approval of the 30% design by the City the consultant shall develop the 90% planset for review by the City. 4. Presentations. The consultant shall anticipate making one presention to the City's Pedestrian Bicycle Advisory committee and one presentation to the City Council. 5. Following the presentation to the City Council the consultant shall produce the bidable Plans, Specifications and Estimate for the project.
