The Town of Orono seeks a qualified firm to aid Town leadership and staff through a process of identifying the long term needs for Town owned and maintained community facilities. The successful firm will facilitate a collaborative and proactive process that assists the Town Council in identifying the community's current and future needs. The successful firm will be required to work with leadership and staff to develop a practical and reasonably attainable plan that makes the most effective use of existing resources and prioritizes finite tax dollars to meet the established goals. This process will identify the Town's long term facility needs to adequately support desired recreational, cultural, and community building activities. While this is primarily a building and infrastructure study, the successful firm should be prepared to consider the use and impact to the landscape including public open space and access to existing parks, trail networks, and access to the Stillwater and Penobscot Rivers. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all responses to this request and, if deemed necessary, re-open the search. Contact for All Questions Relating to This Rfq: Sophia L.
