As of May, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The scope of the project shall consist of the following generally described work: Bryan County I-16 Regional Sewer Improvements: Division I Work includes construction of new 1,800 gallons per minute (GPM) pump station near the existing North Bryan County wastewater treatment facility on Oracal Parkway in Ellabell, Georgia. Additionally, the project includes installation of 17,445 linear feet of 18-inch PVC force main via open-cut, 817 linear feet of steel casing via jack & bore method for GDOT and railroad crossings, and 4,667 FPVC via horizontal directional. Division I scope also includes installation of 618 linear feet of 24-inch FPVC casing with 18-inch FPVC carrier force main within Old River Road right-of-way via horizontal directional drill method. The County is also anticipating installation of approximately 4,000 linear feet of 30-inch FPVC water main under Ogeechee River via horizontal directional drill method. Scope also includes installation of 166 linear feet of 42-inch steel casing under Interstate I- 16 via jack & bore method with 30-inch PVC carrier water main and horizontal directional drill of 655 linear feet of 36-inch FPVC casing with 30-inch FPVC carrier water main within Old River Road right-of-way. Ogeechee River Horizontal Directional Drill Contractor (or Subcontractor) Qualifications (Specification Section 00035 - Statement of Bidder's Qualifications): Each bidder shall submit a list of experience with their bid form. The directional drilling Contractor (or Subcontractor) shall present similar experience on at least five successful projects involving installation of minimum 30-inch diameter pressure pipe of the total length not less than 4,000 feet. Division II Work in Division II includes installation of approximately 6,782 linear feet of 18-inch PVC force main via open cut, 638 linear feet of 18-inch FPVC via horizontal directional drill within GA Power and Kinder Morgan Gas Easement, and 327 linear feet of 24-inch steel casing installed via jack & bore method within I-16 GDOT right-of-way, 382 linear feet of 36-inch steel casing with 30-inch FPVC water main carrier. Additionally, work includes site preparation, clearing, grading and access road for proposed municipal complex site and installation of municipal sewer metering station. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability." Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in- fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond.
