Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lebanon, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Sealed Bids will be received by the Lebanon Borough Board of Education, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, for the MUSIC ROOM RENOVATIONS at the LEBANON BOROUGH SCHOOL, 6 Maple Street, Lebanon, New Jersey together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the Requirements of the Drawings and Specifications prepared by: GIANFORCARO ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS & PLANNERS 555 EAST MAIN STREET, SUITE 1 CHESTER, NEW JERSEY 07930 Sealed Bid Packages will be received for a single overall contract and all work incidental thereto. Contract Drawings and Specifications and Proposal Forms are on file with the Architect/Engineer, Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners, 555 East Main Street, Suite 1, Chester, New Jersey 07930. (908) 879-6001. Bids shall be delivered to the Business Administrator/Board Secretary, not later than the "Bid Opening Date and Time", as stated above. Bidding Documents, Plans and Specifications may be examined during normal business hours at the following offices: Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners 555 East Main Street, Suite 1 Chester, New Jersey 07930 If a Bid exceeds Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), the Bidder and all general construction contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, as required by law, and possess a valid and current Notice of Classification prior to the time and date that bids are received. Any bid submitted under the terms of the New Jersey statutes not including a copy of a valid and active prequalification/classification certificate on behalf of the Bidder and all general construction contractors and subcontractors required to be named by New Jersey law may be rejected as nonresponsive to the bid requirements and /or nonresponsible. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a Bid for the Project, the Bidder, or its Subcontractor, shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in the following discipline: C008: General Contractor OR C009: General Contractor/Alterations and Additions Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of Bidder, and Proposal Identification Number on the outside, and must be accompanied by Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the Order of the Board of Education, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00); and must be delivered to the Business Administrator/Board Secretary, or the Board's designated Representative at the above place, on or before the hour named. The Board of Education and Architect/Engineer assume no responsibility for Bids mismailed or misdirected. Each Bidder shall submit with its Bid, a Certificate of Consent of Surety, as per N.J.S.A 18A:18A-25 from a Surety Company stating that it will provide the Bidder, and all Subcontractors, if successful, a Performance/Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. If Bidders are not providing Surety for subcontractors, then the subcontractor must provide their own surety and proof of the same at the time of the bid submission. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, or to waive informality in the Bidding, if it is in the interest of the Board of Education to do so. The Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A 18A:18A-1 et.seq. pertaining to the "Public School Contract Laws" and N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. pertaining to the "Educational Facilities Construction and Financing Law." The Bidders' attention is directed to the fact that all Applicable Federal, State, and Municipal Laws, and Ordinances, Rules and Regulations, including N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. regarding Affirmative Action, of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction work in the locality of the project, shall apply to the Contract throughout, and they will be deemed to be included in the Contract the same as if set forth therein at length, including, but not limited to, those laws identified in the INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS. Pursuant to "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq.), Bidders and their Subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, and to possess a current Certification by said Department indicating compliance with the Act. Bidders are notified of this requirement. If, at the time of the award of Contract, the Certificate from the Department has not yet been received by the Bidder, proof of Application, along with the cancelled check for the Application fee, shall be provided to the Board of Education in lieu of such Certificate. Once the Certificate is received, a copy of same shall be delivered forthwith to the Lebanon Borough Board of Education. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, Bidders and their named subcontractors are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue at the time of the bid submission. Bidders must include a Proof of Registration Certificate for themselves and their named subcontractors with the bid. The Board Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 18a:18a-1 Et Seq., and to Also Not Award a Contract for Any Portion of the Project, in Whole or in Part, if the Board Has Not Obtained the Requisite Approval for the Project or Any Portion Thereof From the Appropriate State Agency. The Board Reserves the Right to Terminate the Contract if the Board Has Not Obtained the Requisite Approval for the Project or Any Portion Thereof From the Appropriate State Agency. No Bid Will Be Accepted That Does Not Conform to the Specifications Furnished.
