The Project consists of the combined construction including Mechanical and Electrical Work for upgrades to the Building Automation System and heat pump loop pump replacement at the Creston CSD. Commencement of Work: Work shall commence as soon as possible after May 31, 2022. Work on the Project shall commence as soon as possible after award of the Contract and is scheduled for multiple substantial completion dates. The lastsubstantial completion date will be on or before August 19, 2022, with Final Acceptance to be no laterthan ninety (90) days after substantial completion. Consideration of the bids received, and the award of contracts or other action may be made by the Creston Community School District upon the proposals received in accordance with the law and the plans and specifications at its regular meeting anticipated at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Creston Community School District at the District Administration Office at 801 N Elm, Creston,Iowa 50801. Each Bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security in a separate, sealed envelope as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract for the work bid upon and will furnish within ten (10) days after the award of Contract a corporate Surety Bond, in a form acceptable to the Board of Directors of the Creston Community School District, for the faithful performance of the Contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract. The Bidder's security shall be in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on an FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a Bid Bond on the form provided in the Contract Documents with corporate Surety satisfactory to the Board of Directors of Creston Community School District. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications.Bid security shall be made payable to Creston Community School District. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities as allowed by law, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of Creston Community School District.
