The project has been set up for a Mechanical Contractor to act as Prime Contractor, and be responsible for the entire project, including hiring all sub-contractors and running all aspects of the project to completion, relative thereto in strict accordance with the Park District's Specifications, Drawings, and other Contract Documents.
Note that a portion of the Mechanical Equipment replacement calls for replacement of a pool unit which requires a IDPH qualified installer. Note that to avoid any potential delays in equipment delivery, the Park District has elected to pre-purchase the rooftop/ air supply units and controls, which will be assigned to the successful contractor upon contract award. Bid package includes details on the extent of pre-purchased items. .
Plan holders are also required to include all business information within the email request with current contact information should the Owner need to issue any addenda throughout the bidding process.
The Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/.01, et seq.) (the "Act") shall apply to the Project Work. Prospective Bidders must make a site visit and fully acquaint themselves with conditions as they exist so that they may fully understand the facility, difficulties and restrictions attending the execution under the contract.
Please refer to the plan set for the sequencing schedule of this project. It is required that all Bidders attend said pre-bid meeting, failure to attend with result in bidder's disqualification. The Board of Commissioners of the Schaumburg Park District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and; also reserves the right to accept only portions of a proposal and reject the remainder.
The Board reserves the right to waive any technicalities in a bid, and to accept any proposal which the Park District deems most favorable to the interests of the Park District.
