The maintenance contract work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to provide service WHICH INCLUDES three (3) individual projects: Mow, Trim & Mulch Various Parks; Mow, Trim & Mulch Municipal Facilities; On Call Property Maintenance. The contractor is required to submit a proposal for each individual project for one year. Pricing shall also be provided for 2023 and 2024. The Borough can at its own discretion extend the contract for 2023 and/or 2024. Bids must be furnished on the proposal sheets included in the Contract Documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope and addressed to the Mayor and Borough Council, Borough of Carteret, New Jersey and plainly marked on the outside with the name and address of the bidder and the Bid Number and Title. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Experience and Certificate of Equipment. The Borough reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Borough reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:32-34, bidders must submit proof of business registration with the bid proposal in the form of a copy of their Business Registration Certificate as issued by the New Jersey Division of Revenue. No firm may be issued a contract unless it complies with the affirmative action provisions N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Contractors must adhere to all require!ments of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended, the United States Occupational Safety, the Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended and the Americas With Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret reserves the right to reject any or all bids as permitted by statute if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the Borough to do so.
