The District owns andoperates two (2) water treatment plants, the Little Cottonwood Water Treatment Plant("LCWTP") and the Point of the Mountain Water Treatment Plant ("POMWTP"),(collectively called the "Treatment Plants"). The Treatment Plants have full conventionaltreatment. Sodium hydroxide is used primarily for pH adjustment at the LCWTP. It maybe used at the POMWTP in the future. The estimated annual dry weight equivalent of sodium hydroxide used at LCWTP is1,350,000 pounds (lbs.). The estimated annual dry weight equivalent of odiumhydroxide used at POMWTP is 80,000 lbs. Numbers were calculated using a 50 percent(%) solution as the reference solution. Actual quantities will vary. Forces of nature, rawwater quality, and other factors will determine the amount of odium hydroxide required.For a more complete description of product and/or service requirements refer to ExhibitA of the attached sample Agreement. Because of the volatility in pricing for raw materials and other factors, contracts will belimited to a one-year term. Prices are to remain fixed for such term
