The professional design contract will be for a comprehensive set of services to include design, preconstruction, construction, and close out phases of the project. o Evaluation and proposal of structural and construction alternatives o Value engineering services o Estimating/scheduling, geotechnical & surveying services o Design, plan and specification development o Preparation of bidding documents/bidding process involvement o Project supervision/quality control involvement o Construction Administration involvement o Close out involvement The Project, known as Carrollton Detention Center, consists of an existing City owned detention facility located at 2001 E Jackson Road, Carrollton, Texas. This project consists of modifications and renovations of the existing facility. A design contract is desired to be secured and executed in March 2022. Total design completion is desired not later than winter 2022-2023. SPECIAL STATEMENT REGARDING COVID-19 This is considered critical infrastructure, and may continue operations provided all contractors adhere to the Dallas County COVID-19 Rules for the Construction Industry. Carrollton City Hall along with all other public facilities are currently operating under restricted opening guidelines. Should these procedures be modified or further impacted by related Dallas County court orders, all potential respondents on record will be advised of additional instructions via addenda.
