Through generous contributions from the Attorney General's Environmental Enhancement Grant (EEG) program, and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, the City of Lumberton in conjunction with these partners, will be creating a boating access area at the former Scottish Meatpacking property, located on Campbell Street in Lumberton. The Robeson County tax records reflect that the structures on the property contain approximately 6,500 square feet of 'heated space.' The City of Lumberton is requesting proposals for the following scope of work: i) Lead-Based Paint Testing; ii) Asbestos Testing; iii) Clearance Inspection/Sampling and Removal of Potential Contaminants; iv) XRF Analysis; v) Risk Assessment; and vi) Project Management. The firm bidding shall provide unit costs for all these requirements. All inspectors and program designers will have current certifications from institutions that are recognized by Environmental Protections Agency, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) For more information, please contact Brandon Love, 910-671-3805 from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday or by e-mail at blove@ci.lumberton.nc.us Contract Time Period Estimated March-April 2022.
