Renovation of a municipal facility in New Haven, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This project will consist of solar array procurement and installation at the City of New Haven Public Works Department building located at 2201 Summit Street, New Haven, IN 46774. The solar array will be installed on the roof of the existing building and will be used to power the building itself. The City of New Haven, Indiana, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, A2 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part lly ______ grams of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of assisted 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally ' dpi . SDOI______________ _________ _________ Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title VI Program and Related Statutes, issued pursuant to such Acts, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of religion, race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability/ handicap and income in consideration for an award. Construction shall be in accordance with the applicable provisions included in the design documents including Scope of Work, Specifications, and Drawings. Bid proposals shall be completed and properly executed on the bid form and must be accompanied by an executed Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, confirmation that copies of Addenda were received (if issued), and satisfactory bid security. In determining the lowest responsible bidder, the City of New Haven Board of Public Works and Safety will consider the Total Base Bid made for the contract. The City of New Haven may also consider all other relevant facts mentioned in the Project Documents such as experience and subcontractors. The City of New Haven Board of Public Works and Safety reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding and to award contracts In the best interest of the City of New Haven. The City of New Haven Board of Public Works and Safety reserve the right to reduce project scope to meet any budget limitations if any were to arise. Any questions, prior to bid opening shall be directed to, in writing, via email to Dave Jones, Superintendent of Public Works, djones@newhaven.in.gov or by phone (260) 414-9097. Project includes installation per design the solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, racking, inverters, and electrical connective equipment on the grounds of the City of New Haven, Indiana. Install AC panel boxes for collecting the AC power from the inverters and distribute to the electrical service. Install connective equipment from the AC panels to the Indiana Michigan Power utility transformer. a. New Haven Public Works, 115.2 kWdc / 100.0 kWac: 1) Work includes all materials required to mount 240 solar panels on the public works roof, connect to 2 inverters, connect to AC collector panels, and interconnect to the main electrical feed at 277/480V (3-phase, Delta-grounded WYE) per the plans included in this packet. Work also includes all required grounding and Ethernet connections of the equipment. 2) All conductors may be run on the roof in cable tray. Any conductors in contact with or buried beneath the ground will need to be enclosed or encased in conduit that will prevent deterioration due to the caustic composition of the soil. Buried conductors must be installed by an OSHA HAZWOPER 40hr certified contractor. a) Schedule 80 PVC for direct buried conduit b) Schedule 40 for concrete encased conduit c) Galvanized rigid conduit with 1mil of asphaltic coating for direct bury 3) Install Solar Log solar site monitoring system. The inverters will be connected to the Base Station through the Ethernet or connected via RS-485 cable. System will include a) Solar Log Base Station b) Utility Grade Meter 4) All zoning and construction permitting will be completed by the Contractor with the City of New Haven.
